Costa Rica News – A woman was detained in Escazú for prostituting out young people hired as massage therapists. The illicit activity happened in a rental house with rooms that did not appear to be massage rooms nor normal home rooms.
It seems the woman used social networks to offer masseur jobs to girls but at the interviews threatened or convinced them to prostitute themselves.
Six young people, aged 20-30, were found there by agents of the Judicial Investigation Agency (OIJ). They were let go and the woman allegedly behind it all was taken into custody.
The case has been investigated by officers of the Section Against Physical Integrity, Trafficking and Trafficking of People of the OIJ since the beginning of the year when the Confidential Information Center was alerted to the activity.
During a raid on Wednesday, the youth were interviewed and released and computers were confiscated to sustain the accusations in court.
