Costa Rica News – A drunk policeman crashed his patrol car against the gate of a house in Goicoechea.
The Public Security has announced that an administrative proceeding was immediately initiated.
The incident occurred at 4:40 am and the damages were numerous. Both officers in the vehicle were under the influence. The pair was supposed to be carrying out patrol work for citizen security, according to the Ministry of Public Security.
There were no human injuries, luckily, but there was substantial damage to the property. The cops involved are named Valdivia and Alpizar. They have worked for the force for nine and ten years.
Valdivia refused the breathalyzer test so he was taken to a medical center to have his blood tested.
Both men tested positive for intoxication and this may lead to dismissal without employer responsibility.
