World News – The terror group ISIS released a new propaganda video Monday featuring British hostage John Cantlie, a photographer who worked for the Sunday Times newspaper before he was abducted in 2012.
The video is the third video ISIS has released of Cantlie and the second ‘episode’ of a series called “Lend Me Your Ears,” in which Cantlie appears to be forced to make anti-West remarks.
In the new video, Cantlie sits at a table wearing an orange jumpsuit and mocks President Obama’s speech on September 10 announcing the new U.S. strategy to attack ISIS targets in Syria. He derides the performance of the Iraqi army and claims the Free Syrian Army, whom the U.S. and its allies are supporting, are corrupt and ineffective.
He also says that an air-power only campaign will not work — even quoting a New York Times article from the day after the speech.
ISIS militants have beheaded two American hostages and one Briton, and have threatened the life of another British hostage, Alan Henning.
