The application of this vaccine will be FREE. It is available to those over age 12 who are seeking their fourth or fifth vaccination. It’s only available as a booster. If someone is just getting their first vaccine, they’ll be given the monovalent one that’s been used since 2020. The difference is that the bivalent one is a hybrid vaccine designed to protect against the original variant and two omicron sub-variants. It’s also proven effective against other variants, such as BQ.1 and XBB and XBB1.5.
To get the vaccine, you must show your identification and your vaccination card, which can be found in the EDUS system if you can’t find your original.
