Costa Rica News – Have you been looking on Craigslist for that perfect stove? Perhaps searching for a vehicle to get around Costa Rica? Well an auction this coming weekend might be your place to find these items.
The U.S. Embassy San Jose is holding its latest auction.
On the auction block this month are items like stoves, computer equipment, furniture and one vehicle, a 2007 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado.
The auction is online through http://rematico.com/.
Physical inspection of the goods will take place on Friday October 30 and Saturday October 31, between 8:30 am and 12 noon and 1:00 pm and 4:00pm, in Bodega #4 in the Moorepark industrial complex, one kilometer west of the Embassy, in Pavas.
The vehicle(s) can be inspected in the lot directly in from the embassy.
As usual, all sales are final and to be paid for in full before claiming the article. In the case of vehicle(s), winning bidders are required to pay all fees, ie marchamo, riteve and transfer taxes, and including the import duty, prior to taking possession. Embassy vehicles are exempt from import duties. However, the duty has to be paid to have the vehicle registered with non-embassy plates.
The bidding starts Sunday, November 1 at 8:00am.
