Entertainment News – With the music coming out these days, I continue to ask myself what happened to the good music that used to come out in the past. When I listen to The Doors, Pink Floyd, and other groups from years ago, the talent level and lyrics blow away music that is being produced today.
When I was growing up and at summer camp in Texas I received a care package from my parents filled with mostly things that were confiscated like candy, but in the midst of the box was a cassette tape. U2 Joshua Tree.
I placed it in my tape player and put on the old headphones with the big, black fuzzzy ear pieces.
As each song played I thought that this would go down in history as one of the greatest albums of all time, and it did.
After a 4 year period with no new U2 songs they are looking to produce a new album in 2014 and have just released the first song from it on Facebook.
“Ordinary Love” will appear on the soundtrack of the biopic “Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom,” which premieres next week. But they have it on the U2 Facebook page now.
U2’s next album is due out sometime next year, so this is going to have to last you.
