Costa Rica News – Company (Sociedad Anonima) owners must pay between ¢65,000 and ¢216,000 for the tax on legal persons corresponding to the 2018 period. The deadline to pay is by the 31st of this month, according to the Ministry of Finance.
The tax applies to commercial companies, limited liability companies, individual limited liability companies, partnerships, limited partnerships, branches of a foreign company and their representatives.
Those registered as micro and small companies as well as small and medium agricultural producers will not have to pay.
Taxes for 2017 must be brought up to date before paying for this year.
The Government expects to collect ¢42,000 million this year from the tax. 90% of that will go to the Public Force to hire 1,000 more police.
The tax can be paid by providing the legal identification number at any of the following entities:

- BN
- Desyfin
- Lafise
- Scotiabank
- Scotiabank Transformándose
- Promérica
- Improsa
- Cathay
- General
- Prival
- Teledólar
- Grupo Mutual Alajuela
- Cruz Roja Costarricense
- Tiendas Ekono
- Servimás
- BN Servicios
