Costa Rica News – The church in Cartago has distributed 600 tickets for the Mass of consecration of the new bishop of Cartago.
Only those from the 41 Carthaginian parishes and church authorities, priests, nuns and invited guests can enter.
There will be giant screens on the north and south sides of the church so that 3,000 of the faithful can attend the Mass seated outside.
Only those with tickets can attend it inside of the church as that is the maximum capacity.
10 people from each parish got tickets to represent their church. Other seats were given to the Episcopal Conference, the diocesan staff, the nuns of the convents in the province, government officials, media and direct relatives of the new bishop, Mario Quiros.
The new bishop will celebrate his first mass as bishop on Sunday at 6 pm in the National Sanctuary in Paraiso. There will be a parade at 5 pm.
Cartago is the most religious province in Costa Rica.
