Costa Rica Entertainment – The exhibition The World According to Mafalda will end its time at the Children’s Museum this Sunday.
It has received over 10,000 visitors to learn about this character, her friends, Guille, Susanita, Manolito, Libertad, Felipe y Miguelito, and their take on the world.
It will close with a concert at 2 pm in the Kaopakowe Hall by the national band DTour which will perform the music of The Beatles. The tickets are ¢2,000 for kids and ¢2,200 for adults and can be purchased at www.museocr.org/boleteria.
If you haven’t yet seen the exhibition, it’s open from 9 am to 8 pm Saturday. It presents 13 spaces with themes related to this famous comic strip which was translated into more than 30 languages and made into animated series and compilation books. Mafalda is perhaps the best representation of Latin American counterculture of the 60s and 70s.
It was a particular worldview through the eyes of a school aged girl.
