Texas Tech University is coming to Costa Rica, meaning that right here one can earn a US diploma that is recognized worldwide.
This, however, comes at a high cost of $1,500 per month, or $9,000 per semester, on average.
The college will be located on Avenida Escazu and classes are to begin in 2018. The majors will all take four years to complete, with the first year being general studies. Some options of study include engineering, computers, hotel administration and math.
The cost is high because they must cover the cost of a locally-taught international education. Students will be able to access a loan with the National Education Loan Commission and a merit scholarship will be developed in the future.
Students must be fluent in English to enroll, as all classes will be taught in that language.
They will be able to participate in exchanges, internships and research and take their studies abroad.
