The Complejo Oxígeno, Oxygen Complex, was inaugurated on December 13th. The investment in this complex is approximately $200 million. The developers estimate that it created 8,000 direct and indirect jobs.
The complex is located in Heredia. It caters to all age groups. There is a dedicated game space for kids and teenagers. There are restaurants, shops, a cinema, and areas to practice sports.
500,000 people have already visited and enjoyed shopping at Ekono and eating at P.F. Chang’s. President Carlos Alvarado was one of the visitors. He made an official tour along with the mayor of Heredia, José Manuel Ulate. The President said this opening is a sign of the importance of reactivating the national economy.
The complex is complete with 15,000 m² of green areas, a 1,2 km runway, a train platform and bus bay, bike parking and even four recharging stations for electric vehicles.
