Costa Rica News – An outreach group from Kalamazoo is headed down to Costa Rica to run SWAT training for law enforcement there.
“We’ll be hosting 20 commandos from Peru,” Wild says. “We’ll be doing rappelling, entries, shield work and officer down rescue scenarios. They’re just so thirsty for knowledge.”
The team is trying to raise $4,000 before they go so they can bring critical supplies with them, including tourniquets, bandages and bilingual AEDs.
The volunteers will also have a chance to share their faith with the people there.
“Being able to go down there and teach people who haven’t had these opportunities before is absolutely amazing,” Wild adds.
