Costa Rica News – (Surf Report September 16th & 17th) – We are going to give you the surf forecast for Costa Rica and we have Costa Rica surf pics. This weekend might be a good one to relax with your girlfriend or boyfriend. There are going to fun sets coming in on the Pacific side and smaller sets on the Caribbean side of Costa Rica. We have also added surf video from Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica.
North Costa Rica & Central Costa Rica & South Costa Rica Forecast for the Pacific
FRIDAY: SSW/S swell lingers with reinforcements moving in to close out the work week. Look for mainly waist-chest-shoulder high surf at good spots. Standouts produce some head high sets with potential for larger waves later Friday PM.
WEATHER/WIND: Light/variable to light offshore winds for the next few mornings may show some texture at open exposures, but overall looks mostly clean. Onshore flow builds to light/moderate levels in the afternoons. Thunderstorms are likely and keep in mind that passing or nearby showers and thunderstorms can temporarily affect/change local wind conditions.
Friday 09/16 – 3-5ft – waist to head high – Reinforcing SSW swell. Plus sets possible in the PM. Shorter period Southerly swell mix builds in.
Saturday 09/17 – 3-5ft – waist to head high occ. 6ft – SSW/S swell fills in more.

Small short period wind waves from the east-northeast holding during the early part of next week. Light and variable southwest winds later and switching to the north.
Friday 09/16- 2-3ft – Ankle to waist – Small short period wind waves from the east-northeast holding during the day. Light and variable west winds and switching to the northwest.
Saturday 09/17 – 2-3ft – Ankle to waist – Small short period wind waves from the east-northeast holding during the day. Light and variable west winds all day and switching to the east-northeast.
