Costa Rica Surfing – (Surf Report June 23rd & 24th) – We are going to give you the surf forecast for Costa Rica and we have Costa Rica surf pics. There are going to be some fun sets rolling on the Pacific side & on the Caribbean side of Costa Rica. We have also added surf video from Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica.
North Costa Rica & Central Costa Rica & South Costa Rica Forecast for the Pacific
FRIDAY: A mix of S swell and SSW swell sets up surf generally in the shoulder-overhead range with top standouts still going 2-3′ overhead on Thursday. Surf comes down a touch on Friday, but should still offer shoulder-head-overhead surf for most. Note that small local S and W windswell blends in, making some of the points a bit mixed/crossed up.
WEATHER/WIND: A diurnal pattern is expected across most areas of the Costa Rican coastline for the back half of the week. Look for variable to light offshore winds in the mornings while light to locally moderate onshore flow develops in the afternoons, before winds ease in the evenings. Keep in mind, passing or nearby showers and thunderstorms can temporarily affect/change local wind conditions.
Friday 06/23 – 4-6ft – shoulder high to 1 ft overhead occ. 7ft – S swell and SSW swell mix.
Saturday 06/24 – 4-5ft – shoulder to head high occ. 6ft – Easing mix of S/SSW swells. Some new SW swell joins in.

Small short period wind waves from the east-northeast holding during the early part of next week. Light and variable west-southwest winds, Increasing later and switching to the north.
Friday 06/23 – 5-6ft – Head high to 1ft overhead – Small mid period swell from the east-northeast holding during the day. Light and variable south winds all day and switching to the east.
Saturday 06/24 – 3-4ft – Knee to shoulder – Small short period wind waves from the east-northeast rising slightly later in the day. Light and variable west-southwest winds all day and switching to the east-northeast.
