Costa Rica Surfing – (Surf Report June 16th & 17th) – We are going to give you the surf forecast for Costa Rica and we have Costa Rica surf pics. There are going to be some fun sets rolling on the Pacific side & smaller sets on the Caribbean side of Costa Rica. We have also added surf video from Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica.
North Costa Rica & Central Costa Rica & South Costa Rica Forecast for the Pacific
FRIDAY: Modest mix of lingering S swell, SSW swell, and small local SSW/SW windswell in the water for Thursday and Friday. Most breaks will see surf in the knee to chest high range for Thursday, with some larger sets possible for the small wave standouts. A touch more of SSW swell and local windswell is expected for Friday, so surf in the waist-chest-shoulder range is expected then.
WEATHER/WIND: Most of the region will see a diurnal wind pattern; calm to light/variable to locally light to moderate offshore wind through the early to mid mornings (depending on precise location), before a moderate onshore seabreeze gradually develops over the late morning/afternoons (a little stronger for some areas, lighter for others).
Friday 06/16 – 3-4ft+ waist to shoulder high – Modest mix of S and SSW swell with small local windswell.
Saturday 06/17 – 3-4ft+ waist to shoulder high occ. 5ft – SSW swell lingers while new, long period SSW swell forerunners show through the day – BIGGEST LATE.
