North Costa Rica & Central Costa Rica & South Costa Rica Forecast for the Pacific
FRIDAY: A fun to good size S and SW swell blend on tap for the next couple days. For Thursday, expect head to overhead+ waves for many breaks, with top standouts running well overhead to double overhead during favorable tides. Expect surf to ease some for Friday, but we’re still looking at fun size shoulder-head-overhead waves across the region. Again standouts likely still go 2-3 feet overhead at times.
WEATHER/WIND: Central CR may see dicey onshore winds Thursday as a weak disturbance moves through Southern Central America. A seasonal diurnal pattern is expected to return on Friday. Look for variable to light offshore winds in the early morning, giving way to light sea-breeze mid morning, then picking up to locally moderate onshore flow in the afternoons. Watch for winds to ease some in the evenings.
Friday 07/21 – 5-7ft – head high to 2 ft overhead occ. 8ft – S swell eases, while fun SW swell holds. Favorable AM winds.
Saturday 07/22 – 4-6ft – shoulder high to 1 ft overhead – Overlapping S and SW swells slowly ease.
