North Costa Rica & Central Costa Rica & South Costa Rica Forecast for the Pacific
FRIDAY: Mix of easing SW swell and new/reinforcing SSW swell. Look for chest-overhead surf across the better exposed breaks of the region, with standout spots offering sets up to 2-3′ overhead.
WEATHER/WIND: Generally light+ offshore ENE wind for the early mornings (strongest near the Nica border), with a light to moderate sea breeze likely to developing in the afternoons. Chance for evening glass off for many areas before dark. NOTE – Passing or nearby showers and thunderstorms can temporarily affect/change local wind conditions.
A new/solid SW swell topped out on Wednesday, which offered many of the better exposed breaks with head high to overhead surf. Standout spots produced sets running 2-3′ overhead up to to double overhead, while select magnets that really focus this swell best had even a few bigger waves/peaks on occasion during the more favorable tides.
Expect a nice long run of good SW gradually shifting SSW swell through the rest of the week and into next week.
