North Costa Rica & Central Costa Rica & South Costa Rica Forecast for the Pacific
FRIDAY: New SSW swell builds in further through the day and peaks late. Look for head high to overhead waves at many of the better exposures, while standout spots produce occasional sets running 2-3′ overhead. Select magnets will offer occasional waves/peaks up to double overhead late in the day (strongest before dark).
WEATHER/WIND: Generally light to moderate offshore ENE wind for the early mornings (strongest near the Nica border), with a light+ seabreeze likely to developing in the afternoons. Chance for evening glassoff for many areas before dark. NOTE – Passing or nearby showers and thunderstorms can temporarily affect/change local wind conditions.
Another good pulse of SSW swell moves in for Friday and the weekend, with more Southern Hemi swell lining up for all next week.
Friday 04/26 – 1.2-2.1m – shoulder high to 2 ft overhead – BIGGEST LATE; New SSW swell fills in further and tops out in the PM with occasional 8’+ sets for select magnets
Saturday 04/27 – 1.5-2.1m – head high to 2 ft overhead occ. 2.4m – Holding SSW swell; Occasional bigger 8’+ sets for select magnets

Small short period wind waves from the east-northeast rising slightly later in the next few days. Light east-northeast winds with a slight chop, winds dropping rapidly later. Small short period wind waves from the east-northeast falling slightly during the early part of next week. Light and variable east-northeast winds with smooth seas, Increasing later.
Friday 04/26 – 0.9-1.2m – Knee to shoulder – Small short period wind waves from the east-northeast holding during the day. Light and variable northeast winds with smooth seas all day.
Saturday 04/27 – 1.2-1.5m – Shoulder to head – Small short period wind waves from the east-northeast holding during the day. Light and variable west-northwest winds, increasing rapidly later and switching to the northeast.
