This is going to be a decent weekend on the Pacific side of Costa Rica but the Caribbean is going to be small this weekend . We have also added surf video from Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica.
North Costa Rica & Central Costa Rica & South Costa Rica Forecast for the Pacific
FRIDAY: More of the SSW swell moves in on Friday, setting up waist-shoulder high surf at the better breaks. First signs of some NW swell start to show at best exposures late Friday.
WEATHER/WIND: Diurnal wind pattern – Calm to light/variable to light offshore wind in the early to mid mornings (depending on location), before a moderate onshore seabreeze gradually develops through the late morning into each afternoon (a little stronger for some areas, lighter for others).
Friday 01/08 – 3-4ft+ waist to shoulder high – New SSW swell tops out. Minimal NW swell mixing in.
Saturday 01/09 – 3-4ft+ waist to shoulder high – SSW swell holds. More NW swell shows at well exposed spots.
