Costa Rica News – This weekend there is no Rip Curl Event that we can feature a live stream from so we are going to give you the surf forecast for Costa Rica and add in some pictures of beautiful surf girls in bikinis. Enjoy a pretty nice weekend of waves in Costa Rica from April 5th to 6th.
North Costa Rica & Central Costa Rica & South Costa Rica Forecast
FRIDAY: A fun size SSW swell will hold steady on Thursday then ease on Friday, while a new long period SW swell gradually fills in. Look for chest-head high waves at many of the better exposed breaks throughout the region. Some of the standout spots will produce occasional overhead sets/peaks, especially during the more favorable tides.
WEATHER/WIND: Look for light to moderate offshore NE-ENE wind in the mornings, with a light seabreeze gradually developing each afternoon, possible glass-off in the evenings. Most areas will see partly cloudy/sunny skies. NOTE – Passing or nearby showers and thunderstorms can temporarily affect/change local wind/road conditions.
A good pulse of new SW swell moves in for the weekend. Fun waves continue for next week as well.
Friday 04/05 – 0.9-1.5m – waist to head high occ. 1.8m – Mix of old/easing SSW swell and new/building SW swell
Saturday 04/06 – 1.2-2.1m- shoulder high to 2 ft overhead – New SW swell peaks and holds; Possible bigger sets for select standouts

Small mid period swell from the east-northeast holding during the next few days. Light and variable north winds, Increasing later and switching to the northeast. Small mid period swell from the east-northeast holding during the early part of next week. Light north-northeast winds with a slight chop later.
Friday 04/05 – 1.2-1.5m – Shoulder to head – Small short period wind waves from the east-northeast holding during the day. Light and variable east-northeast winds with smooth seas, Increasing later.
Saturday 04/06 – 1.5-1.8m- Head high to 0.3m overhead – Moderate mid period swell from the east-northeast holding during the day. Light and variable northeast winds with smooth seas, increasing rapidly later.
