This weekend has some great waves with a swell hitting the Pacific side of Coast Rica and the Caribbean side of Costa Rica from July 12th to July 13th. FRIDAY: Fun size leftovers from the SSW as new SW swell slowly builds through the day.
WEATHER/WIND: Look for light offshore wind for the early mornings, with a light to moderate onshore SW/WSW seabreeze developing over the mid to late mornings and into each afternoon. NOTE – Passing or nearby showers and thunderstorms can temporarily affect/change local wind conditions.
Friday 07/12 – 0.9-1.2m+- waist to shoulder high occ. 1.5m – Fun size leftovers from the SSW; new SW swell starst to build late
Saturday 07/13– 0.9-1.2m+ – waist to shoulder high occ. 1.5m – Fun size, new SW swell fills in…stay tuned

Solid SSW swell offered well overhead surf at the exposed breaks of Central and Southern CR on Wednesday. Standout spots were even larger. Northern CR was partially shadowed on this swell but still had good size waves.
Friday 07/12 – 0.9-1.2m – Knee to shoulder- Small short period wind waves from the east-northeast falling slightly during the day. Light and variable south-southeast winds, Increasing later and switching to the northeast.
Saturday 07/13– 1.2-1.5m- Shoulder to head – Small mid period swell from the east-northeast holding during the day. Light and variable east-southeast winds, increasing rapidly later and switching to the north-northeast.
