North Costa Rica & Central Costa Rica & South Costa Rica Forecast for the Pacific
FRIDAY: New SW swell steadily builds in through the end of the work week. That energy is good for waist-chest-head high zone surf along with some overhead sets at top exposures Thursday. By Friday morning better breaks are in the chest-shoulder-head high range with overhead+ sets for top focal points. Size builds a little further through the afternoon/evening as the swell tops out.
WEATHER/WIND: Light/variable to locally light offshore wind early trends onshore through the mid mornings (depending on the specific spot). Through the afternoon a moderate onshore sea-breeze gradually develops. In the evenings there’s a good chance for the wind to back off for a glass-off for many locations before dark, especially the more sheltered/tucked away spots.
Friday 07/10 – 1.2-1.8m – Shoulder high to 0.3 m overhead – SW swell tops out.
Saturday 07/11 – 1.2-1.8m – Shoulder high to 0.3 m overhead occ. 2.1m – SW swell holds.
