North Costa Rica & Central Costa Rica & South Costa Rica Forecast for the Pacific
FRIDAY: Modest SW-S swells and easing NW swell mix offers up waist-shoulder zone waves for exposures and head high sets at top spots. Combo exposed beachbreaks should see peaky shape.
WEATHER/WIND: Variable to locally light offshore wind for the early to mid mornings for most areas, before a light to moderate onshore sea-breeze gradually develops into each afternoon. Most of the region will see partly cloudy/sunny skies each day. However, there is still a chance for occasional passing thunderstorms/showers.
Friday 12/19 – 0.9-1.5m – waist to head high – South/SW swells hold; Minor NW swell eases; Peaky for combo exposed beachbreaks
Saturday 12/20 – 0.9-1.2m+ waist to shoulder high occ. 1.5m – Mostly SSW swell; NW traces

Small short period wind waves from the north holding during the next few days. Light and variable west-northwest winds until Saturday and switching to the northeast. Small short period wind waves from the east-northeast holding during the early part of next week. Light and variable east winds, increasing rapidly later and switching to the north.
Friday 12/19 – 0.6-0.9m – Ankle to waist – Small short period wind waves from the east-northeast rising slightly later in the day. Light and variable west-northwest winds all day and switching to the northeast.
Saturday 12/20 – 1.2-1.5m – Shoulder to head – Small short period wind waves from the east-northeast holding during the day. Light and variable west-northwest winds, Increasing later and switching to the east-northeast.
