This weekend has some great waves with a swell hitting the Pacific side of Coast Rica and the Caribbean side of Costa Rica from August 2nd and August 3rd. FRIDAY: SW-SSW swell fades to waist-head+ high with plus sets. Largest in the morning.
WEATHER/WIND: Look for calm to light/variable wind for the early mornings, with a moderate onshore SW-WSW seabreeze developing over the mid to late mornings and into each afternoon. NOTE – Passing or nearby showers and thunderstorms can temporarily affect/change local wind conditions.
Friday 08/02 – 0.9-1.5m- waist to head high occ. 1.8m- BIGGEST EARLY; Easing SW-SSW swell
Saturday 08/03– 0.9-1.2m+ – waist to shoulder high – Old swell fades, new SW swell joins in

Slowly easing but still healthy SW-SSW Southern Hemi swell kept lots of spots in consistent overhead waves on Wednesday, while top breaks were hitting double overhead+.
Friday 08/02 – 1.2-1.5m- Shoulder to head- Small short period wind waves from the east-northeast holding during the day. Light and variable northwest winds, increasing rapidly later and switching to the east-northeast.
Saturday 08/03– 1.2-1.5m – Shoulder to head – Small short period wind waves from the east-northeast holding during the day. Light northwest winds, increasing rapidly later and switching to the northeast.
