Costa Rica News – (Surf Report August 16th and August 17th) – We are going to give you the surf forecast for Costa Rica and add in some pictures of beautiful surf girls in bikinis. This weekend is a little small on the Pacific side of Coast Rica but the Caribbean side of Costa Rica is going to be pumping from August 16th to August 17th, but as always there will be some waves to ride. We have also added live surf video from Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica.

FRIDAY: SSW swell holds early and then fades.
WEATHER/WIND: Look for calm to light/variable wind for the early mornings, with a moderate onshore SW-WSW seabreeze developing over the mid to late mornings and into each afternoon. NOTE – Passing or nearby showers and thunderstorms can temporarily affect/change local wind conditions and damage roads.
Friday 08/16 – 0.9-1.2m+- waist to shoulder high – Slowly fading SSW groundswell with less consistency
Saturday 08/17– 0.6-0.9m+- Knee to chest high- Old SSW swell fades while inconsistent SSW groundswell fills in

Friday 08/16 – 1.5-1.8m – Head high to 0.3m overhead – Moderate short period wind waves from the east-northeast holding during the day. Light and variable north-northeast winds with smooth seas, increasing rapidly later.
Saturday 08/17– 1.8-2.1m – Shoulder high to 0.5m overhead – Moderate mid period swell from the east-northeast holding during the day. Light and variable west-northwest winds all day and switching to the east-northeast.
