North Costa Rica & Central Costa Rica & South Costa Rica Forecast for the Pacific
FRIDAY: A new blend of SSW-SW swells start to fill in over Friday. Look for surf mainly around the waist-chest-shoulder high zone at the better exposures throughout the region. Standout spots will produce occasional sets around the head high mark, especially during the best tides for that particular break.
WEATHER/WIND: Most areas will see calm to light/variable to locally light+ offshore wind for the early to mid mornings, before a moderate onshore seabreeze gradually develops over the late morning hours and into each afternoon. Good chance for the wind to back off into the evenings for a glassoff for many locations before dark, especially the more sheltered/tucked away spots.
Friday 04/17 – 0.9-1.2m – waist to chest high occ. 1.5m – SW swell continues to hold fairly steady. New SSW-SW swells start to fill in.
Saturday 04/18 – 0.9-1.5m – waist to head high – New blend of SW and SSW swells move in and peak in the afternoon with occasional 6′ sets for select magnets. The old SW energy eases.
