Spirit Airline, known for low-cost flights, is opening a route from Orlando to Costa Rica.
This was announced on Thursday, June 14, by the US airline that has been operating in Costa Rica for over a decade.
The route will start out being offered four times a week but the idea is to make it a daily flight as of November 8th. Of course, prices depend on the date of travel, but the average price will be around $350 round trip.
Last year, Spirit opened a commercial headquarters in Costa Rica to better meet the needs of customers. Spirit stands out from other low cost carriers in this way. Payments and flights can be arranged in Costa Rica.
Canadian airline Sunwing and Mexican airline Aeroméxico have also this month announced adding flights.
North America is the main generator of tourists in Costa Rica, accounting for 40% of all international arrivals.
