Costa Rica – Manuel Antonio is the home of Costa Rica’s Sloth Institute.
The institute focuses on the research, education and release of hand-raised sloths back into the rain forests of Costa Rica, so they can live as they were meant to do, in the wild.
From the Sloth Institute’s Website they have a 3 part mission.
1) RESEARCH of captive and wild sloths.
2) COLLABORATION with other institutions that work with sloths around the world.
3) EDUCATION to generate and disseminate responsible and balanced information about sloths to the public.
