Costa Rica Travel News – September 15th is Independence Day in Costa Rica and this year the National Tourism Institute (ICT) has announced a ton of special discounts for this date throughout Costa Rica’s tourism sector.
The ICT says that some of the businesses offer even up to 65% off of the regular rate of their hotel stays or tours. Others include upgrades like free breakfast. Each hotel is able to make their own offer.
The DoubleTree Resort in Puntarenas decided not to charge sales tax, a very uncommon promotion geared at helping locals go on vacation on this special day. It’s all part of expanding the domestic tourism sector.
20 companies are participating. Hotel Buena Vista Lodge is offering 35% off and children stay free.
