Costa Rica News – As a recovering alcoholic you have to truly want to change in order to quit drinking and partying. Scott Disick showed no desire to stop during his 1 week stint in Costa Rica. Five days of rehab and then hitting the club scene shows he does not want to quit the lifestyle he is living yet. Give him about 2 to 3 weeks and he will be back to his old self.
Scott Disick spent a week in rehab and left saying that he had “business obligations” to attend to. While this is the reason for his short stay, he does plan to go back. Rehabs don’t usually work that way, but his rehab is not like most. So what were those business obligations?
According to Yahoo News on March 29, Disick hosted a party in Vegas with a few fans posting pictures of the man who likes to be referred to as the “Lord,” which even shows up in his Instagram handle, “@letthelordbewithyou.”
This guy appears to be a legend in his own mind, riding on the coattails of the Kardashian family where everything is bigger than life. One thing that isn’t bigger than life is getting treatment for substance abuse and while a week is a good start, most experts will tell you it takes longer than a week to work on a successful treatment.
He does say he is going back to rehab in Costa Rica, where he stayed for that one week. According to People Magazine, Scott intended to be at that the rehab for only a week, but people thought he was there for a month and since he left they think he bailed out of treatment, which is just not the case he said.
While in Vegas he was seen drinking nothing but energy drinks and water and folks said he stayed in the VIP section of the party the entire night. His party hosting was his big business that he needed to pull away from rehab to attend, but he believes he’s almost got his addiction licked from that week of treatment.
His theory that after a week of rehab he is good to go would most likely clash with what most substance abuse experts know from experience. Topping that off with spending the night at a club fresh out of rehab, it just appears as if he is setting himself up for failure.
The rehab, called Rythmia Life Advancement Center, treats addiction with hallucinogenic drugs and Disick said he really likes it. He said he believes it really helped him. He also shared just what the treatment is doing for him, saying that he “is not a perfect human being yet, but maybe down the road I’ll be pretty close to it.”
The Rythmia Life Advancement Center uses the African root called Ibogaine. It has hallucinogenic properties and it is a root not only used to treat addiction, but it is used to treat pain.
The director of the treatment center in Costa Rica said that the Ibogaine plant was used by pigmies in Africa and it is used in African tribes as the first line of defense when it comes to the treatment of psychological disorders.
Scott is a paying client at this treatment facility but the director is hoping that Scott will end up being a paid spokesperson for them when he is done. The director has every reason to think that Disick will be successful with this treatment. He could spread the word at all his parties in Vegas!
