Costa Rica Food & Dining – Everyone wants to visit Monteverde, for the fresh air and the gorgeous nature. We want to share a suggestion with you of where you can eat after a long day of hiking and other adventures. Let us introduce you to Ristorante e Pizzeria Tramonti.
Tramonti stands out from the crowd, because it is run by an actual Italian. The taste proves that! The sauce reminds me of the delicious food I’ve tasted from my friend’s Italian grandmother- perfect in every way.
We tried the Ravioloni Berenjena (Eggplant Ravioli) and the Pennette Rustiche (Homemade pasta with sweet cream and tomato sauce and fresh mushrooms). Both were presented beautifully and were delicious! We ate every bite! We also suggest the Tiramisu which is very rich and tasty. Another specialty of theirs is pizza baked in a wood oven. We ordered beers which came with frozen mugs. They know how to serve a beer right! The staff can also help you pair the perfect Italian wine with your meal, if you prefer.
Gianni and Adriana have created a cozy, romantic atmosphere and an incredible menu. The decorations and lighting are beautiful and fancy. There’s a nice garden and deck in the back. The standard of service is excellent.
The location is another thing Tramonti has in its favor, as it’s just 3 k from the Monteverde Reserve and also close to Santa Elena.
