Costa Rica News – The Ministry of Health has indefinitely closed the San Lucas Beach Club, in Puntarenas, for serious faults that compromise the health of visitors. Among them, the presence of fecal waste in swimming pool water.
The company was ordered to make corrections to that and other problems, including chlorine levels too low to ensure the quality of the water and problems with the management of solid waste from the spa.
The purification plant of the club does not work and there are not even operational reports of it.
The pools lacked filters and chemicals to guarantee cleanliness. Four sanitary orders were given.
The site was closed since November 29th but in early December the managers were allowed to enter to make arrangements. They abused this by opening to the public against the very explicit orders of the authorities.
Therefore, a complaint was filed against the spa in the Prosecutor’s Office.
