Costa Rica News – The General Directorate of Taxation is now offering online services through the ATV portal.
Taxpayers no longer need to go to the tax offices to carry out registration procedures, modification of data and de-registration in the Unique Tax Registry.
This service provides users with voluntary tax compliance. Since the launch of these new services, on December 22, 22,136 transactions have been carried out and of these 1,823 were self-managed online.
The Ministry of Finance enabled the Virtual Tax Administration portal to handle these requests. If anyone would like help learning how to use the electronic services portal, there is a kiosk in San José, behind Funeraria el Recuerdo, where assistance is offered.
Computer access is also offered at many public libraries’ Intelligent Community Centers and at the Tax Assistance Centers.
The Tax Information Center has more information on these services as well as debt relief at 2539-4000, extension 1 or [email protected].
