Costa Rica Events – If you are one for good music and a lot of alcohol consumption Palmares in Costa Rica is for you.
In a press conference Tuesday morning, information about the 30th anniversary of the Palmares festival was given. Palmares 2017 will feature the Jamaican Richie Spice as well as national DJs Jeren and Kendo.
Many concerts will go on but that’s not all. There will be arts and crafts exhibitions, costumes, rides and bullfights. While the carnival is open to all ages, the concerts are for 18 and up.
The gastronomic part of the festival is to feature 12 food trucks. We’ll want to try them all out, I’m sure.
As for bullfighting, I bet you didn’t know veterinarians are hired for the event to make sure thebulls are in good condition. There will be four vets and 20 assistants.
Drinking is allowed on the fairgrounds but the public police force will be present and on the lookout for disturbances. They, along with undercover officers and K-9s, will ensure the festivities are held without any problems.
