Three people vandalized a showcase in the National Museum on Thursday night while on the Art City Tour. They were identified by security videos and could be accused by the entity, but should they be?
The vandalized exhibition was about Oscar Arias’ Nobel Prize. Many have asked for it to be removed following many accusations of sexual abuse on his part. It was only a matter of time before concerned citizens took matters into their own hands.
They scratched the glass of the showcase window and wrote “rapist” in pink lipstick. Photographs of this were passed around on social networks. Should this result in jail time?
The National Museum will reinforce security at the exhibition called “History of Costa Rica” and appeals to citizens to care for the heritage and collections that belong to all Costa Ricans.
