Costa Rica News – The Prosecutor requests 296 years in prison against the lead doctor in an organ trafficking network, along with 130 years for the urologists and 156 years for the vascular doctor who participated.
Francisco Mora Palma is the alleged leader of the network of human trafficking for the illicit extraction of organs.
14 crimes of trafficking persons for unlawful removal of organs are attributed to him, as are 12 crimes of serious injuries, 6 falsehoods in notarial declarations, and 16 for using his time on the clock for the CCSS as a public official to negotiate organs.
The Office of the Prosecutor also reiterated the need to keep confiscated movable properties, such as a Ford Explorer seized from Mora Palma on the day of his arrest, back on June 13, 2013.
The trial is set to end on November 30th.
