New Digital Milestone:
Carara National Park, overseen by the Central Pacific Conservation Area (ACOPAC) and a part of the National System of Conservation Areas (SINAC-MINAE), has now been integrated into the Online Purchase and Reservation System (SICORE). Beginning September 1, 2023, enthusiastic nature lovers can book their tickets seamlessly via www.serviciosenlinea.sinac.go.cr. As a result, the traditional ticket counter at the park entrance will be phased out.
Why This Move Matters:
“Integrating Carara Park with SICORE is transformative. It equips our Protected Area officials with advanced technological tools, resonating with our commitment to amplify our services for tourists. We aim to make their experiences at the park unparalleled,” emphasized Jeffrey Hernandez, ACOPAC’s Regional Director.
Benefits for Park Visitors:

Positive Outlook for 2023:
In 2022, Carara welcomed 38,116 visitors. With the newly introduced enhancements, tourism figures are projected to surge for the rest of 2023.
Future Plans of SINAC:
SINAC is diligently working on expanding online ticketing to all National Parks and Wildlife Protected Areas. Their ambitious goal is to onboard more areas in the coming months, continuing the momentum into 2024.
