Costa Rica Entertainment – Nicaraguan artist Raúl Quintanilla Armijo brings us the art exhibit “No tiene nombre. Unspeakable.”
He and other artists he invited from his homeland are presenting their works at the Museum of Contemporary Art and Design.
Costa Rican have heard and seen much about the crisis going on in Nicaragua. Students study it and discuss history, economics, politics and more but some things must be felt rather than understood.
That’s where the artwork comes in. One of the many questions this exhibit answers is how do Nicaraguans feel living in a society where their manifestations are repressed and criminalized?
Some of the other themes portrayed include an archeology of the relations between Nicaragua and Costa Rica, the martyrs of the Southern Front, and those who have died this year.
