Costa Rica Entertainment – After weeks to months of intense rehearsals, several traditional bands in all the provinces are ready to take part of the celebrations of Semana Santa, Holy Week.
Between masses and processions, this is the ideal time to listen to and enjoy this seasonal music.
These bands have roots that go way back. The tradition lives on!
Last night, the San Jose band played the “Divine Comedy” by Robert W Smith. Tonight in Nicoya, Guanacaste, there will be a procession at 7 pm.
Those in Heredia can enjoy a procession on Friday or Sunday at 10 am. In Alajuela there will be processions at 9 am and 5:30 pm on Friday and 5 pm on Sunday.
Puntarenas will also have a Friday procession, at 7 pm.
If you want to enjoy some of these concerts and experience a little of the Costa Rican culture starting tonight and ending on Sunday morning there will be bands performing all over the country.
