Nameberry boasts nearly 13 million views on its name pages. The authors said 2012 parents-to-be sought out quirky, traditional names for girls, while choices for boys’ names leaned more toward Old Testament, Scandanavian or ancient Roman references.
Names moving fast up the ladder for girls: Penelope, Chloe, Evelyn and Wren.
Names moving fast up the ladder for boys: Simon, Zachary, Samuel and Kieran.
By the way, babies will be born across the nation today, and some of them may end up with Christmas-related names, according to Nameberry.
Some of the more popular Dec. 25 names: Noelle, Chrissy, Belle, Holly and, yes, Rudolph.
