Costa Rica News – (Surf Report July 11th and July 12th) – We are going to give you the surf forecast for Costa Rica and we have our new Model of the Week. This weekend is one that big wave surfers have been waiting for in Costa Rica on the Caribbean side. The Pacific side is pretty small this weekend but on the Caribbean side there are double overhead sets rolling in this weekend in Costa Rica. North Costa Rica & Central Costa Rica & South Costa Rica Forecast for the Pacific
FRIDAY: S/SSW swell mix winds down into the knee-waist-chest high range for exposed spots.
WEATHER/WIND: Most areas will see light/variable to light offshore wind for the early mornings, before a moderate onshore S-SW seabreeze gradually develops over the mid to late morning hours and into each afternoon. NOTE – Good chance for the wind to back off into the evenings for a glass off for some locations before dark, especially the more sheltered/tucked away spots. NOTE – Passing showers or thunderstorms due to temporarily affect/change local wind conditions.
Friday 07/11 – 0.6-0.9m+ – thigh to chest high – Leftover S/SSW swell
Saturday 07/12 – 0.6-0.9m+ – Knee to chest high – Old S/SSW swell fades, new S/SSW swell starts to join in

Large mid period swell from the east-northeast falling later in the next few days. Light east-northeast winds until Saturday and switching to the north. Moderate mid period swell from the east-northeast holding during the early part of next week. Light and variable west winds, Increasing later and switching to the north-northeast.
Friday 07/11 – 2.4-2.8m – 1m overhead to double overhead – Moderate mid period swell from the east-northeast holding during the day. Light and variable north winds, increasing rapidly later and switching to the north.
Saturday 07/12 – 2.4-2.8m – 1m overhead to double overhead – Moderate mid period swell from the east-northeast falling slightly during the day. Light and variable west-northwest winds, increasing rapidly later and switching to the northeast.
