Costa Rica News – (Surf Report August 22nd and August 23rd) – We are going to give you the surf forecast for Costa Rica and we have our new Model of the Week. The Pacific side this weekend hasw some decent waves rolling in which would be great to learn on but the Caribbean side is a bit small. We have also added surf video from Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica.
North Costa Rica & Central Costa Rica & South Costa Rica Forecast for the Pacific
FRIDAY: SW/SSW swell mix fills in with more waist-shoulder high surf for good spots, as top breaks see better sets.
WEATHER/WIND: Most areas will see light/variable wind for the early mornings, before a light-moderate onshore S/SW sea-breeze builds through the mid to late morning hours and into each afternoon. NOTE – Passing showers or thunderstorms due to temporarily affect/change local wind conditions.
Friday 08/22 – 0.9-1.2m+ waist to shoulder high – SSW/SW swell builds further
Saturday 08/23 – 0.9-1.2m+ waist to shoulder high occ. 1.5m – SW/SSW swell mix

Small short period wind waves from the east-northeast falling slightly during the early part of next week. Light and variable north winds later and switching to the northeast.
