Miss Costa Rica 2014, Karina Ramos, filed both criminal and civil lawsuits against Nicole Carboni for injuries and defamation and against Multimedios CR for reproducing the damaging comments on social media.
The complaint is about comments Carboni made in an interview on the Multimedia television channel stating that Ramos got the title Miss Costa Rica by having sex with a businessman whose company organizes the event.
The model claims $250,000 in drop in revenue for the Imagination Agency academy which she owns. This damage was done by questioning her morals and discrediting her reputation.
Ramos wants to personally and professionally advertise an image of beauty among Costa Rican women and has worked hard to do so. The comments made by Carboni are unfounded and unprofessional.
