Costa Rica News – Multimedios, a Mexican capital firm, buys the Bésame, Los 40 Principales and Q’Teja stations.
Before the acquisition of Grupo Latino de Radiodifusión Costa Rica S. A., which operates the stations, they were owned by Prisa Radio and Grupo Nación.
The stations purchased are Bésame (89.9 FM), Los 40 Principales (104.3 FM) and Q’Teja (90.7). Those working with these stations currently, such as speakers, technicians and administrative staff, will be integrated into the Multimedios work team.
The agreement reached allows the company to continue using the Los 40 Principales trademarks, property of Prisa, for the next five years. This follows another agreement which was for transmission rights of several First Division soccer clubs.
Multimedios is growing in the country. Since it’s arrival in July 2017, it began television broadcasts and has even announced a series of exclusive transcriptions and transmissions. It has signed renowned journalists.
