Costa Rica News & Events – October is here and once again it is that time of the year, 10K Eco Run, Cup 2013. This year will mark the third annual Eco Run, which will take place at Marriott Los Suenos Ocean and Golf Resort October 20 at 7:00AM. The Marriott is proud to host the athletes that will be participating in this event. The friendly competition is a great activity for family and athletes. It promotes taking care of the environment while living a healthy lifestyle.
The 10K Eco Run is only one of 5 different events hosted by the CUP 2013. Other events include eco mile open water, eco triathlon, trial running and mountain bike. People can expect to run around most of the golf court while enjoying some of the most beautiful views overlooking the Pacific. Some of the events are separated into categories for kids, professional athletes and adults. Professional and national athletes are expected to participate thanks to the variety of disciplines offered.
This is the third consecutive year the Cup 2013 conducts this event in collaboration with Marriott Los Suenos Hotel. Through the help of sponsors and lovers of these different sports, the Marriott Hotel and Cup 2013 is expecting to grow the number of participants for each event. Last year, the triathlon and swim competition were successful events with hundreds of participants for each category.
As these events continue to grow the staff members at the Marriott Los Suenos Hotel are dedicated to providing a safe environment for hundreds of participants and visitors. The landscape is very different from that of the metropolitan athletic competitions therefore they are determined to providing a unique experience in the natural Costa Rican tropical environment.
All events will take place near or in Marriott Los Suenos Hotel. The Ocean and Golf Resort is dedicated to perceiving the environment for future generations and the events of Cup 2013 Marriott Los Suenos is one way to promote the natural environment. It has been recognize by Travel and Leisure magazine as one of the best hotels in the world due to the location next to the pacific warm waters and rainforest.
