Costa Rica News – On Sunday there will be a march against animal abuse, with Alfredito, a dog who has become a symbol of animal abuse, leading the way with his owner, Annie Loria.
It will depart at 10 am from Parque Central and end at the Plaza de la Democracia.
This marks the eighth edition of the March Against Animal Cruelty.
The Association for the Welfare and Support of Animals will be present in order to emphasize the importance of passing the bill on animal welfare that is in the Constitutional Court.
Along the route, volunteers will hand out bag dispensers for owners to collect the waste of their pets.
At the end of the march there will be a fair with 30 exhibitors, a canine catwalk, competitions, gifts and concerts until the evening. Pets are welcome to come along with the family.
3,000 deworming treatments and 300 doses of the vaccine against rabies will be given away by SENASA.
