Costa Rica News – More and more businesses in Costa Rica are giving their customers the option to make quick safe purchases by using dataphones, by which the customer slides his or her own card to pay.
Taking away the need to hand the card to a cashier means the purchase will be safer. The cashier won’t need to know your name, see your ID, or even glance over the numbers on your card.
Already at 100% of McDonald’s points of sale, customers slide their own cards when paying for a purchase. In the coming months, many shops, restaurants and supermarkets will follow this trend in payment management.
Aside from providing security, it makes the lines go much faster. Some stores even opt to use kiosk systems in which the clientes process their order and payment without a cashier. This streamlines the process and leads to shorter wait times.
