Costa Rica News – Five street dogs from Cartago, Costa Rica were welcomed at CMECA, the Municipal Center for Animal Welfare Education.
Each and every one of them have already found a loving home.
This happened just one week after the inauguration of the shelter, which was on October 26th.
There are now about 50 dogs there, waiting for someone to adopt them and give them a much better life than they had roaming the streets in search of food and shelter.
If you are considering adopting one or more of the dogs, don’t worry because they are healed, castrated and well fed so you will get them in good condition.
The sad part is that if no one takes them by a certain time they will be returned to the sites from which they were rescued.
The center is open daily. To visit, adopt or volunteer, call 2201-8425 or check out http://bienestaranimal.muni-carta.go.cr.
CMECA also works to teach children how to treat, care for and live with dogs.
