Costa Rica Travel -Latam Airlines has inaugurated a new flight with direct service between Lima, Peru and Costa Rica. The inaugural flight was on Tuesday, January 2, landing at the Juan Santamaría International Airport.
8,500 tickets have already been sold for this route since it was announced, in the middle of last year, according to the regional manager. The South American airline offers the flights on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
The arrival of Latam Airlines to Costa Rica represents a new gateway to South America. This is one of the hemisphere’s strongest airlines in tourism and cargo. This marks a new gateway to South America, where before there was not a direct connection.
The airline hopes to promote business tourism as well as stimulate flights to more places in South America. It already offers 140 destinations in 25 countries in Latin America, Europe, the United States, the Caribbean, Oceania and Africa.
