Costa Rica Sports News – Keylor Navas hopes that he can resolve his footballing future shortly.Navas, 27, currently plays for Levante, but has been strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid.
Navas will move for a fee of 10 million euros ($13.5 million), and earn 2.5 million euros ($3.4 million) per year, Marca reports.
In a recent livestream video chat with fans, the Costa Rican international was upbeat that his transfer saga will be resolved soon.
“I’d like to be able to announce details about my future now – it’s close and I hope that it will all be concluded next week,” Navas said.
“We’re relaxed about it, soon we will be able to say where my new home will be.”
Navas did not reveal who he was signing for, however, but his statement confirms that he will probably not play for Levante next season.
The Costa Rican does drop a hint that his next club will be a top one.
When asked about his dreams, Navas said: “Even when I was a kid I always thought about achieving big things – I would pretend to interview myself as a player at a top club – that was always my big dream.
“Now I am going through a golden moment in my life, I’m very happy.”
In the video chat, Navas also singled out Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo as two strikers he enjoyed playing against, and also says that his World Cup 2014 experience was “indescribable.”
“We made history with Costa Rica and we are thankful to God for that,” said Navas.
